John Jamieson

Musical Director/Keyboards

Cue keys: “Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Dah” … imagine the room exploding with screams… make ‘em wait... wait… then hit ‘em again with that iconic hook and you’ve just witnessed the insane, electric force that a Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band #1 classic like “Old Time Rock ‘n Roll” is guaranteed to produce.

For John Jamieson, that was a reality while touring with the Labatt sponsored Mellencamp tribute band Rumblesteat, who’s vast following always welcomed some Seger thrown into the mix! As that keyboard player, entrusted to ignite the audience, John continues to make a lasting impression and brings on the Seger-fever with ATW.

The piano picked John long before his parents even owned one, playing a paper rollout keyboard on the dining room table envisioning it as a Grand Piano. There was no stopping this young man – taking TTC to play the Plexi-Grand on display at The Ontario Science Centre or constantly dragging “keys” home after school.

Over 40 years later, as composer, arranger, producer and owner of Soundhouse Studio, John’s clients include: Yamaha, Nascar, Dirtrax/Snowtrax - TSN, National Geographic, Canadian Tire, Shell Canada, Tim Hortons and scoring for TV, theatre and film.

As a keyboard musician, John has played with artists including: The Drifters, Billy Dee Williams, Olivia Newton John, Robert Gordon, Gene Pool, Total Recall Show Band, Peter Bloom Band, Markus of Treehouse TV.

John Jamieson’s long-standing devotion to his craft continues to fuel “The Fire Inside” for himself, the ATW and their fans.
